June is Dairy Month -- Cheese Open House Saturday; Cheese Festival Coming Up

The Finger Lakes Cheese Trail has two big events coming up.

The first is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (June 8) -- the Spring Open House at 13 farms along the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail. Attendees can tour the farms, sample the cheese, meet the animals and learn how the cheeses are made.

The event is free. Participating farms are:

Hillcrest Dairy, Moravia

Jerry Dell Farm & Store, Freeville

Keeley’s Cheese Company, King Ferry

Muranda Cheese Co., Waterloo

Shtayburne Farm, Rock Stream

Side Hill Acre Goat Dairy, Candor

Sunset View Creamery, Odessa
