June is Dairy Month -- Is Whey Really a Problem?

You've seen some stories in the past couple of weeks -- including a couple I've posted here in this blog -- about how the huge increase in the manufacture of Greek yogurt and other yogurt in New York state is creating an environmental problem.

The difficulty, according to these stories, is the disposing of the by-product of yogurt production -- namely whey.

Well, Cornell University and its College of Agriculture and Life Science have tackled the subject and officials there believe the whey story is "whey" overblown.

Check out the story http://cornellcals.tumblr.com/post/52312457571/fears-of-yogurt-induced-environmental-catastrophe-are at this link.
