Freedom of Information Law Pertaining to Farms Passes State Senate

The New York State Senate passed a bill Wednesday to amend the Ag and Markets law concerning freedom of information requests filed about farm operations.

The bill would required notification to the owners and/or operators of a farm operation when information about their farm has been requested via the Freedom of Information Law from a state agency or entity.
