I'm not sure I buy everything that comes out of Dr. Oz's mouth, but here is a viewing tip for anyone interested in the following subject:
Today's episode of "The Dr. Oz Show" will discuss non-nutritive sweeteners in milk as a result of the news on a petition from the National Milk Producers Federation and the International Dairy Foods Association to the FDA.
Nwws reports state the two dairy organizations have petitioned the FDA requesting the agency change the
definition of milk and 17 other dairy products so artificial
sweeteners may be added — without having to note it on the product
label.
The Oz show will feature Cary Frye, the International Dairy Foods Association vice president for scientific and regulatory affairs, who will explain the petition and why it was submitted, and Keith Ayoob, associate clinical professor of pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, who will talk about scientific research on the safety of non-nutritive sweeteners and the importance of milk to a diet.
