Guess Where America Is Buying Its Food?

  1. I enjoy farmers' markets for the fresh produce, but the article belabors the obvious. The only surprise in the article is that farmers' markets come in as high as 7th on the shopping list. Why?: Most are open once a week and you can't take a bus to get to them, and Rite-Aid and Walgreen's stores are on every other corner and dollar stores are across the street from those "drug" stores. The farmers' markets are a good way to educate the public about where their food comes from, and they are another source of income for producers, but to rate them against Wally World and its ilk is off the mark.
