The 182nd annual meeting of the New
York State Agricultural Society is scheduled for Jan. 9 at the Holiday Inn in Salina.
The topic of this year's day-long forum is "Next Generation of Agriculturists." “We will hear from a national expert on leadership and farm
business management, and from a panel of young farmers and agribusiness
persons, sharing perspectives on their future in New York agriculture,” said Penny Heritage, public coordinator for the society.
This meeting is one of the largest
agricultural meetings in the state, bringing together all sectors of the
food system to explore topics critical to the future of New York
agriculture. More than 400 participants are expected to attend.
The meeting is open to the public. Early registration is strongly
encouraged, and discount applies for registrations received before
Dec. 20.
